The Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ women’s track and field team was honored by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association with the 2015 Division II All-Academic Track and Field Team Honor. With a cumulative team GPA of 3.74, the Saints women tied with NCAA Division I Lipscomb University for the highest GPA in the country, regardless of NCAA division or gender.<\/p>\n

The Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ men’s team placed second in the nation with a combined 3.50 grade point average. The Saints ranked second in Division II and trailed leader Sioux Falls by just 0.05 points. Across all NCAA Divisions, the Saints were tied for sixth in the country.<\/p>\n

Senior\u00a0Elizabeth Kiblinger<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0earned Scholar Athlete of the Year honors by the USTFCCCA. To earn that distinction, student-athletes must compile a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and record a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championship in either the indoor or outdoor season. Kiblinger qualified for three NCAA Championship events this season \u2013 indoor and outdoor 5K and outdoor 10K. Earlier this season, she was voted to the prestigious Capital One Academic All-American team.<\/p>\n

To earn the award, track and field teams recorded at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA. A total of 115 women’s teams were honored, and 62 men’s squads were recognized with the award.<\/p>\n
