Super Bowl LX\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0just the year\u2019s biggest sporting event; it was a life-changing professional opportunity for 14 students and two faculty members from Ä¢¹½´«Ã½\u2019s Rawlings Sport Business Management (RSBM) program. Over eight action-packed days, students gained invaluable real-world experience in sports business, connecting with global brands and supporting major NFL initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n RSBM students partnered with Fierce Staffing to play key roles at the NFL\u2019s premier fan fest at San Francisco\u2019s Moscone Center. They supported major sponsors like FedEx,\u00a0Snickers\u00a0and Roblox while gaining hands-on experience in event management, marketing, and fan activations, all essential aspects of the evolving sports industry.<\/span><\/p>\n Through the NFL Teammate Program, Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ students contributed to key initiatives leading up to and during Super Bowl Sunday. They supported the\u00a0<\/span>NFL Culture Club<\/span><\/a>, a four-day event blending football, art, music, and fashion, while managing VIP ticketing, setup, and operations. On game day, they ensured smooth operations for auxiliary media at Levi\u2019s Stadium, gaining valuable experience in large-scale event management.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Super Bowl Staffing Partner Brittane Cooper echoed\u00a0Lapehn\u2019s\u00a0sentiments. \u201cWorking with Jason and his team at the Rawlings Sport Business Management Program at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has been a pleasure. His partnership and support made a meaningful impact.\u201d\u00a0She highlighted\u00a0how impressed she was with Ä¢¹½´«Ã½’s students. \u201cIt\u2019s clear they come from a program that equips students with the right tools to transition seamlessly into real-world, high-level events.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n For RSBM students, the Super Bowl was more than a\u00a0game;\u00a0it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Camryn Skaggs, an RSBM sophomore, shared her\u00a0experience working with On Location, the NFL\u2019s official hospitality partner: \u201cGetting to work at the Super Bowl with On Location was an unforgettable experience. Being part of the team behind one of the world\u2019s biggest sporting events showed me how much planning, precision, and teamwork goes into delivering a world-class hospitality experience.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Skaggs emphasized how transformative these opportunities are for students: \u201cFrom VIP events to game-day execution, seeing behind-the-scenes operations gave me a new appreciation for large-scale event management. It\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0just about the\u00a0game, it was about creating memorable moments for guests, and\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0proud to have played a role in that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n For RSBM students, Super Bowl LX was a career-defining moment.
