Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ recently celebrated International Education Week 2015 (IEW) with on-campus events that showcased cultures and ethnicities from many parts of the world. Along with the Center for Global Education, students prepared and presented a wide range of activities. Ä¢¹½´«Ã½\u2019s international students represent 47 countries.<\/p>\n

Sarah Etter, a liberal studies major at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, spoke with people about her culture and gave\u00a0out traditional candy and cookies at an IEW booth. \u201cIt was really exciting to see people interested in my country. I enjoyed the chance to share some things about my culture and talk about the differences between Switzerland and the United States,\u201d Etter said.<\/p>\n

The weeklong observance was held Nov. 16-20, in conjunction with the International Education Week<\/a> initiative sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of State and the U.S. Dept. of Education to highlight the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.<\/p>\n
